Bank of Beijing Co., Ltd. (BOB), originally named "Beijing City Commercial Bank" and established in 1996, is a modern joint-stock commercial bank. As China's largest city commercial bank and the third-largest bank in the Beijing region, BOB employs over 3,600 staff members, serving individual and corporate clients through its 116 branches. The bank has also deployed 272 ATMs across its coverage network and developed rapidly growing electronic banking services.

Aligned with Bank of Beijing's long-term development strategy and building upon the ongoing advancement of Xi'an Disaster Recovery Center's information systems and internal/external custodial services, this project establishes a private cloud platform at the center. The initiative encompasses private cloud architecture design, deployment of cloud infrastructure (virtualized compute/storage/network resource pools), construction of a cloud management platform, and migration/deployment of application systems. Specifically, it includes: building new compute and storage resource pools by adopting commercially mature server virtualization software, distributed storage software, and cloud management platform software; establishing a new minicomputer resource pool through procurement of IBM Power minicomputers to create a PowerVM-based minicomputer resource pool, achieving unified management via the cloud management platform; and integrating existing resource pools through centralized governance enabled by the cloud management platform.

The overall architecture of Beijing Bank's private cloud platform is designed across four layers:

(1) Cloud Service Management & Provisioning Layer：Delivers cloud resource services and O&M management through WinCloud cloud management platform;

(2) Resource Orchestration Layer：Integrates underlying server virtualization platforms and OpenStack components to enable cloud service scheduling and task distribution;

(3) Resource Interaction Layer：Utilizes Winhong's heterogeneous management module (WCE), OpenStack APIs, and third-party APIs for cross-resource pool interoperability;

(4) Resource Pool Layer：Comprises newly-built compute/mini-computer resource pools, unified management of legacy/physical devices, with future integration capabilities for containerization and big data technologies.
